Position:

Fab Operator

Description

  • The Fab Operator will have responsibility to manufacture proprietary, designed products using MEMS technology.
  • Operate photolithography, plasma dry etching, plating, polishing, measurement and inspection, wafer cleaning and etching, etc.
  • Assist engineering to troubleshoot issues and to document processes.
  • Follow documented procedures and capture data, results into database.


  • Essential Functions:

    • Manufacturing: 50%
    • Inspection and Testing: 30%
    • Documenting processes: 5%
    • Training: 5%

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years college education.
    • Previous experience working in Semiconductor/ MEMS manufacturing environment preferable.
    • The applicant must be comfortable working in a cleanroom and handling chemicals.
    • Must be able to handle small parts under a microscope, take measurements using standard microscopes and enter data using standard PCs.
    • Available to work overtime as needed.

    Position:

    Facilities Engineer

    Description

  • We are looking for a mid to senior level facilities engineer with a strong sense of ownership and demonstrated exposure to handling and maintaining externally driven regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in a semiconductor related manufacturing facilities is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment under ISO 9001 and/or 13485 also a plus.
  • We are a small growing company with significant potential for advancement and professional development.


  • Essential Functions:

    • Ownership of facilities engineering related tasks and projects including but not limited to the following: HVAC, electrical, process gases, DI water, waste management, fab layout, equipment installation and expansion related activities.
    • Ensure compliance with external regulatory and internal company policies.
    • Vendor management including preparation and negotiation of contracts for outside service.
    • Response to facilities related issues during production hours.
    • Performs other related work as required.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 5-7 years experience facilities experience in a manufacturing environment a must.
    • Experience in a MEMS or Semiconductor related manufacturing facilities a plus.
    • Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 environment preferred.
    • Experience with facilitization of Semiconductor Capital Equipment preferred.

    Preferred Education:

    • Associate level engineering degree with experience.
    • BS or MS in an applicable engineering discipline preferred.

    Requirement:

    • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, theories and technologies related to facilities systems and processes.
    • Knowledge of techniques and procedures of engineering project management.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to maintaining manufacturing facility.
    • Ability to coordinate, perform, and/or supervise effective facilities engineering projects.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.

    Position:

    Metrology Engineer

    Description

  • We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer or related discipline with two years of experience or a recent graduate with an advanced degree.
  • The individual should be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience with metrology, precision machining or GD&T.

  • Essential Functions:

    • Ownership of metrology tools and processes including but not limited to the following: optical CMMs, contact and non-contact profilometers, SEMs, die shear and hardness testers, auto defect inspection tools.
    • Calibration, cross-calibration, capability, uncertainty in measurements and gage R&R studies.
    • New equipment procurement including specification, acceptance and implementation of metrology procedures.
    • Design of metrology fixtures and tools.
    • Responsible for implementing SPC protocols in addition to existing recording structure.
    • Hands on measurements on engineering and some production material, furnishing inspection reports and templates.
    • Create, update and maintain work instructions. Train operators.
    • Response to tool related issues during production hours.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Metrology experience in industry or thesis project, specifically dimensional metrology a plus.
    • Experience in a MEMS or semiconductor related facility a plus.

    Preferred Education:

    • Mechanical Engineering (or related), with experience or a graduate degree.
    • Metrology experience gained during thesis work is preferred.
    • Formal quality training and certification (six-sigma) a plus.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, theories and technologies related to metrology, including a very strong statistics background.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of root cause analysis methods and SPC.
    • Ability to coordinate, perform, and supervise metrology methods and projects.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both technical as well as non-technical with fluency in English.
    • Strong documentation skills.

    Quality Associate

    Description

  • We are looking for a Quality Associate for hire to maintain internal quality systems that ensure conformance to Microfabrica, customer and regulatory standards.
  • Position involves following work instructions and procedures to conduct thorough inspection of parts; regularly adjudging quality of parts to determine pass/ fail.
  • Document and report non-conformance of parts to quality standards and collect data to support such arguments.
  • Support Quality and Process Engineering on varied assignments.


  • Essential Functions:

    • Ascertain quality of Microfabrica products using state of the art inspection equipment and techniques.
    • Verify completion of manufacturing documentation to standards.
    • Perform QC inspection of parts and compare to specifications.
    • Notify supervisor/ engineer of existing or potential quality problems/ non-conformances.
    • Provide input to continually improve Quality Management System procedures/ processes.
    • Understand and follow current Microfabrica Quality Management System policies/ procedures.
    • Consistently show good attention to detail in daily work with few errors.
    • Available to work overtime as needed.
    • Follows safety requirements as identified by Microfabrica Management.
    • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

    Requirement:

    • Previous experience working in Semiconductor/ MEMS manufacturing environment preferable.

    Additional Skills (i.e., Computer):

    Position:

    Quality Engineer

    Description

  • We are looking for a Quality Engineer for hire to maintain internal quality systems that ensure conformance to Microfabrica, customer and regulatory standards.
  • Position involves providing support to receiving and final inspection areas; creating risk assessments pertaining to Change Orders, Nonconformances and CAPAs; creating and/or modifying SOPs and work instructions; performing internal audits and handling CAPAs.
  • Support all facets of the quality system.


  • Essential Functions:

    • Perform in-process, final and receiving inspection of parts, raw material, finished goods, etc.
    • Maintain training records for all employees and generate programs to certify employees periodically.
    • Support Calibration and Validation Programs.
    • Support all aspects of Document Control e.g. drafting SOPs, Work Instructions; Reviewing and Approving document changes, etc.
    • Participate in and conduct internal as well as external audits.
    • Support failure analysis efforts for internal systemic/ process issues as well as customer returned parts.
    • Help Process Engg. & Production teams in determining root causes behind problems/ scrap by pursuing techniques of FMEA, DOE, 5-whys, etc.
    • Track and follow up on non-conformance reports.
    • Generate and follow up on corrective/ preventive action items.
    • Conduct due diligence of suppliers via conforming their adherence to procedures/ specifications, requesting appropriate information and via audits.
    • Support Quality organization to develop and to optimize systems/ processes that are aligned with the overall business.
    • Perform other projects and duties as assigned. Ascertain quality of Microfabrica products using state of the art inspection equipment and techniques.

    Preferred Experience:

    • At least 2 years of experience, working as Quality Engineer in, preferably, manufacturing environment.
    • Previous experience working in Semiconductor/ MEMS manufacturing environment strongly desired.

    Preferred Education:

    • Minimum BS degree in engineering or technical field.

    Additional Skills (i.e., Computer):

    • Good communication and inter-personal skills.
    • Strong Problem Solving and Trouble Shooting abilities.
    • Knowledge of Material Review Board, Corrective and Preventive Action programs preferable.
    • Competent technical writer.
    • ASQ certification and Green Belt training a Plus.
    • Auditing experience a Plus.
